Tamarra has been an integral part of the mental health community since receiving her Bachelor’s in Human Services from the University of Phoenix. She continued her education and earned her Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Pepperdine University. Tamarra has worked in a variety of therapeutic settings within several organizations including Victims of Crime, the Department of Mental Health, the Department of Children and Family Services, and Los Angeles Dependency Lawyers. Tamarra joins the Life Adjustment Team with specialty training in Trauma-Informed Care, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. She has facilitated groups on the topics of domestic violence, sexual abuse, and substance abuse.
Tamarra has developed a wealth of knowledge and tremendous experience helping clients with self-actualization, understanding the importance of the here and now, and challenging conditioned responses to trauma or any self-identified negative experience. Tamarra is passionate about erasing the stigma associated with mental illness and creating effective and affordable treatment for the community.
